I am often asked about crystals for letting go of an ex or past relationship. I recently ran a poll on my Instagram and Facebook Page, asking what the next crystal grid people wanted me to design and share. This one won, so here it is for you.

Accepting The Healing Process

Before we get to the crystal grid, let’s get real about releasing someone we love. Letting go is not an overnight thing, there are no quick fixes. This crystal grid is designed to support the process of moving on and releasing the energetic connection.

This may take some time, depending on how deep and long the connection has existed, so accept that. Make sure your actions are aligned with your intention or the grid has little effect. I will include an article with advice from a psychological point of view for letting go of an ex to help with this.

The Heart Chakra Symbol

Energetic connections to an ex-partner or lover mostly link to your Heart Chakra, in the middle of your chest area. I have designed this crystal grid to focus on this area to help break the unhealthy connection and help you to move on. The template and base of this crystal grid is the ancient Sanskrit symbol of the Heart Chakra.

As you will see below, everything that goes into my crystal grids has a purpose and is not chosen just to look pretty:

What You Will Need:

1 Medium sized Black Obsidian Arrowhead

This helps sever the unwanted connection. If you can’t find this shape, then use another form (Standing Crystal Point or a Heart?).

3 Rose Quartz Tumble Stones

Rose Quartz is for comfort, heart healing and self love. These stones can be substituted with Pink Opal or Rhodonite.

3 Amazonite Tumble Stones

Amazonite supports healing and making a fresh start. These stones can be substituted with Lemon Chrysoprase, Moonstone or Lemon Quartz.

6 Smoky Quartz Crystal Points

Smoky Quartz clears negative energy and thoughts. These crystals can be substituted with Black Tourmaline or Tibetan Black Quartz Crystals.

Using a Crystal Grid Template

I have created a FREE printable Crystal Grid Template that you can download and print yourself. You don’t need to sign up for anything. Just click the link below to download the PDF file. You can then print it out on some paper or card. Alternatively, you can use your own Heart Chakra template or base, or any Star of David template will do. You do not have to use a template, the crystals will still form the shape needed.

Simple Crystal Grid Activation

If you already know how to activate a Crystal Grid, feel free to use your prefered method. Otherwise, to keep things nice and easy, I am going to show you a really simple method to activate the grid which does not use an Activation Wand. Activation programs or charges the crystals with your intention, so they can begin to do their work for you.

Before you begin, write on a small piece of paper a positive affirmation or statement of your intention. This could be something like “I release my mental, emotional and energetic connection to ……………… and move on to the next chapter of my life”.

How To Activate Your Crystal Grid For Letting Go:

1. Hold all your cleansed crystals and the note in your hands (or work in batches).

2. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.

3. Raise your crystals up in front of your Third Eye Chakra (brow area).

4. Focus on your desired result, use visualisation and emotion. Say to yourself or out loud a statement of your intention like “I program this crystal grid to release my mental, emotional and energetic connection to ………………….. and move on to the next chapter of my life”.

5. Lastly arrange your crystals into position (see below).

Setting Up Your Grid For Letting Go

Now that your crystals are programmed and charged with your intention, all you have to do is arrange them. Use a flat surface that will not be easily disturbed. Please see the diagram above.

(1) The Black Obsidian Arrowhead goes into the centre, on top of your folded note and pointing upwards.

(2) Then the three Rose Quartz Tumble Stones can be placed around it, forming a triangle.

(3) Then the three Amazonite Tumble Stones can be placed around it, forming a triangle.

(4) Lastly, the six Smoky Quartz Crystals should be placed around the outside, pointing outwards.

What Next?

The grid is left in place till you feel you have moved on. When you have finished with your Crystal Grid, remove the crystals and cleanse them. Remember to deactivate your grid before using the crystals for anything else. See my article on Deactivating Your Crystal Grid for more info.
