   Thanks for your guarding! All of them are beautiful and very useful for the heart. Nowadays my new favourites are Amazonite and Jade. Rodonite is more powerful for me then Rose Quartz, but Rhodocrosite is too much, that’s my Mom’s favourite. 🙂 Aventurine is always a good choice with Moss Agate. 😉

   I love working with turquoise for my heart chakra, I know it is usually used for the throat but I have a deep connection with it for my heart chakra activation & healing, it is very protective & that works very well for me as I’m very emotional & empathic by nature. This is a great article, thank you for sharing.

      Yes, you can use this. I consider it a more deep cleansing crystal.

            I find Morganite superb for cleansing negativity from the heart chakra.

            It also has other uses:
            • It’s fantastic at soothing troublesome menses;
            • It’s good at blocking nightmares, especially in children;
            • It’s extremely helpful for women close to or undergoing the Change of Life — it helps us to accept and deal with the loss of our fertility and youth, and reminds us that just because we can no longer have children, doesn’t mean we’re only fit for the scrap heap;
            • It can also help men who’ve been brought up with outdated notions of manhood (“a real man doesn’t show emotion” etc), showing them that it is acceptable – indeed healthy – to emote, and how to do it without feeling emasculated. Further, it helps eradicate toxic masculinity.

   Would Unakite be good, as it is both pink and green? I was also wondering about Lepidolite – isn’t it good for depression and the emotions, so would work well for the heart chakra? I would value your thoughts on these. Many thanks for all of your wonderful work, it is so inspiring.

      Hi Sue, yes Unakite is great for the Heart Chakra and the colours as you spotted indicate this. Yes that is a bit more advanced way of using crystals, so you can use a crystal that isn’t normally associated with a Chakra. The properties can be used on a Chakra if that is what you need. So Lepidolite could be used to clear these negative emotions from the Heart Chakra. Another example is using Hematite to protect someones heart and sensitive emotions.

      @Sue: Yes, absolutely. Unakite – a type of Jasper – is very good for the heart chakra. All Jasper is protective and nurturing, and Unakite’s colour combo makes it a good protector and nurturer of the heart.

      For potentially even more heart protection, if you can find it, classic Watermelon Tourmaline is absolutely brilliant. There are in fact several colour ‘modes’ of Watermelon Tourmaline, but the one that’s best for the heart chakra is green on the outside and pink in the middle — just like its namesake fruit. That’s what’s known as the classic mode.of the gem.

      Watermelon Tourmaline has a perfect balance of masculine (green) and feminine (pink) energies; like all Tourmalines, it’s protective; it’s a superb repeller of negative energy; and its green component cares for the physical heart superbly well, while its pink component looks after the emotional aspect equally effectively. I’m fortunate to have a beautiful polished part slice of classic Watermelon as a pendant (this kind of Tourmaline can also come in green to blue and blue to pink – as regarded from the surface to the core of the stone – which I have too, but as loose crystals), and wearing it, I feel just as safe as I do when I wear Black Tourmaline: surrounded by a lovely white light that’s almost Angelic in nature, but without the grounding effect of the Black variety. I have worn and carried the two colours of Tourmaline separately (worn the pink and carried the green), but while that works OK, I feel it lacks the alchemical mix of energies provided by the two combined in the same stone.

      Of the two, I would personally favour the Tourmaline; but that’s undoubtedly because, for me, not many forms of Jasper work well or indeed at all.

   Hi Ethan, Thanks for the great article. My daughter recently got 3 micrdermal implants over her sternum and Heart Chakra. I was not a huge fan of them, but she says she’ll wear gemstone tops which would make me feel better. What are your thoughts on Emeralds for the Heart Chakra? She’s young, healthy, and hasn’t had any trauma that I’m aware of, so I’m looking for gemstone toppers that would have a peaceful, protective energy. So far I’ve not been able to find any Rose Quartz or Jade dermal tops in stock. Thanks for your feedback!

      Hi Whitney,

      The Beryls are among my soul crystals, and I can tell you that Emerald is fantastic for this purpose; but just a small caveat: like almost all the Beryls, Emerald protects its wearer by soaking up negativity before it reaches them. If you wish to use it, and can get hold of it in an appropriate form, it’s ideal; but please make sure your daughter cleanses it regularly.

      One alternative I haven’t seen mentioned here, would be Verdelite (Green) Tourmaline. This wonderful soothing crystal is the premier healer for the physical, as opposed to emotional, heart – the organic engine that gets blood and oxygen around our bodies – and is excellent at regulating the heart’s electrical activity. It also has a potent connection to Mother Nature and the peaceful, soothing plant kingdom; you might even consider teaming it with Emerald? You could also add Peridot, with its gift of cellular renewal.

   Hi Ethan,

   Thank you for sharing your article. I’ve had great success in wearing nephrite jade over my heart for extended periods. After a bad break up years ago, it helped me regain my self-love, self-esteem and self-respect and I felt an outpouring of love. It helped me to be kind to myself. I believe stones are very powerful healers when worn on the body, as they affect the auric field.

    Hi Mr. Lazzerini,
    I am happy you shared that.
    I have very severe ADHD that worsened from my concussion and could definitely also use a heart chakra cleanser and protector. But first, does the book have pictures and describe properties, which chakra etc?
    I’d be interested very much.

    I do have a good friend who has had such a tremendous amount of emotional trauma losing a child, divorced, etc. She also needs a clearer mind and feels sluggish. Her self image is damaged.

    Please help me out and I’ll buy it If I can afford it the book that is
