Why is there one crystal in the middle of a crystal grid? Can you put two, three or more crystals in the centre and what will happen if you do? Learn why I DON’T do this…
Crystal Grid Centre Stones
If you look at most crystal grids, including the ones I make, you will notice there is a single crystal in the middle. This crystal is a key component of my crystal grids. This special crystal is known under a few different names:
The Purpose & Function Of The Centre Stone
A centre stone is like the hub in a wheel or a car’s engine. It powers the grid and holds all the crystals together under a unified intention. Centre stones distribute and receive energy within your crystal grid.
Plus, they help send the energy and your intention out into the Universe to help it manifest.
The Numerology & The Power Of ONE
Crystal grids work with sacred geometry which is heavily based on numerology. The single crystal represents the energy of the number one. This is different from the other crystals in a grid which are multiples and groups of the same type of stone.
In numerology, the number one symbolises oneness and unity. The centre stone unifies the whole grid including all the different crystals. One is also the power of a single focus. We want a single crystal in the middle to bring focus to our main intention.
Mandalas & Yantras
If you look at many mandalas or yantras you will usually see a small dot in the centre. This is said to symbolise the divine creative source. Kind of like the original spark of creation. The centre stone is also the anchor point for energy and the central axis of your crystal grid.
Why I Don’t Use More Than One Crystal Central Stone
Hopefully, you can see why I recommend sticking to one crystal in the middle of your crystal grid. More here isn’t more powerful. Less is more in this position. I want my centre stone to be a focal point (visually and energetically) and a powerful unifying force.
Now, there will always be some exceptions to this rule, depending on some unusual intentions. A crystal cluster is permanently unified by nature for example. You could still use enhancers under the central stone (like copper discs). But they are not the central stone and work differently.
