Following on from my original blog post about crystals everyone must have, here are ten more stones! These are healing crystals that I believe that EVERYONE should have in their crystal collection and WHY…
My Original Must-Have Crystals List
In 2016, one of my first blog posts was 7 Must Have Crystal For Beginners. You might want to read that first OR watch the YouTube video there but it’s not essential.
UPDATE: This Blog Post Is Now a YouTube Video:
Since posting this article I have made a YouTube video about all these crystals and their benefits. It’s up to you but I recommend you watch the video as there is some new information in it such as chakra and element associations that you might find interesting:
10 MORE Crystals Everyone Must Have
Many people have asked for a part 2 so here is a new list of essential stones. It’s always very hard for bloggers or content creators to put these lists together as there are so many worthy options. This list is based on my work with crystals and what I see as being useful and effective for me and others over the years.
These are ten crystals that you will reach for time and time again. These are essential stones that offer so much once you bring them into your home and life.
Easily Available Stones
Also please note that I am trying to avoid rare and hard-to-find stones here. While they are great it makes no sense for me to list them here and ignore these crystals.
Of course, other crystals could be part of this list BUT I don’t think I could live without any of these stones. That’s why I chose them, see what you think…
1. LABRADORITE
The colour shifts in Labradorite look a bit like dragonfly wings. This reflects its power of supporting personal transformation, through inner and outer change. This crystal helps you shed old identities that no longer serve you.
Labradorite sparks creativity and encourages self-expression. It helps you think outside the box. This magical stone is also connected to the elemental world. Labradorite also has protective properties, shielding your aura from unwanted energy.
2. FLUORITE
Any colour of Fluorite is good but there is something really special about the bi-colour or multicoloured ‘Rainbow Fluorite‘. All colours of Fluorite are stones of the mental body, that help balance and relax your mind.
You might find it helpful to study or focus on things as it reduces distractions. Just gazing into Fluorite can help calm your mind and bring mental clarity. It’s a powerful energy balancer. Fluorite balances all the layers of your aura and protects your mind.
3. RED JASPER
If you’re only going to invest in one type of Jasper, I would recommend the red variety. Red Jasper is a cardinal Root Chakra stone. It’s grounding and anchors your energy into the present moment. This earthy stone increases your inner strength and determination.
Red Jasper encourages practical thinking. It’s good for psychic protection and setting healthy boundaries. It’s a great crystal for the protection of your home. Red Jasper is helpful if you feel insecure and want to feel safe and protected wherever you are.
4. MOONSTONE
This is the traditional type of Moonstone with a creamy white colour and a pearlescent sheen. Moonstone is one of the top crystals for your intuition and developing psychic abilities. It can enhance your dreams, awaken clairvoyance and support astral travelling.
As the name indicates, Moonstone carries the astrological energy of the moon and moon goddesses. Its energy is amplified during the full Moon. This soothing and healing crystal cleanses and balances your emotional body. It’s also a stone of new beginnings.
5. GREEN AVENTURINE
You might know this as one of the most popular crystals for luck and prosperity. It helps heal blocks to receiving and release worry around money. It encourages an attitude of gratitude. Green Aventurine won’t burn you out, it helps reduce work-related stress or stress in general.
This light green stone is gentle, calming and soothing to the touch. You might find it helpful if you are anxious or tend to worry a lot. Green Aventurine connects you with nature, the plant kingdom and Mother Earth. It’s also a healing stone of the Archangel Raphael.
6. RED GARNET
Any red or reddish-brown Garnet is a great addition to your crystal healing toolkit. This includes Almandine Garnet or Pyrope Garnet. These crystals hold the energy of the element of fire. Garnets are my number one for boosting your energy and motivation.
You can also work with Garnet to increase your assertiveness, resilience and warrior spirit. These crystals are also useful for protection from psychic attacks and energy vampires, or anyone that drains your mental or emotional energy.
7. BLUE LACE AGATE
Out of all the agates, this one is one of the best. Blue Lace Agate is an air element stone that opens up your Throat chakra. It helps improve your communication skills and speak your truth. It helps with writing and getting your message out to the world.
Blue Lace Agate is a stone of peace and harmony. It emits a calming vibration that some find helpful for anxiety. I also recommend this crystal for support during Mercury Retrograde.
8. AMAZONITE
Amazonite is one of my favourite crystals for crystal healing. It helps with self-healing, healing others, earth healing and developing your natural healing abilities. Amazonite clears and balances your heart chakra. It helps you heal your core emotional wounds and trauma.
It balances your aura and filters any negative energy. This blue-green stone helps with forgiveness, reaching compassion and making a fresh start with your life. Amazonite balances your emotions and keeps you calm. Work with this crystal in meditation to find inner peace.
9. LAPIS LAZULI
Celestial Lapis Lazuli strengthens your spiritual connection. It activates divine inspiration and spiritual downloads. Lapis helps you seek answers within yourself, opening you up to trust your intuition. It’s ideal for self-reflection and any kind of inner work.
This indigo-blue stone shields you from the effects of the evil eye or any jealous people sending you bad vibes. Lapis Lazuli can help you access the wisdom from ancient Egyptian or Persian past lives or ancestry. It can release trauma or vows from past lives that do not serve you.
10. TURQUOISE
Turquoise is the stone of heaven and Earth. It calms your mind and helps you release stress. It balances all your chakras. I think it’s one of the best stones for cleansing and activating your Throat Chakra. Turquoise assists you in expressing your truth calmly and clearly.
You can work with Turquoise if you want to clear your mind and see the bigger picture. It can help you have more faith and find your spiritual path and direction. It’s gently healing and supports a good night’s sleep by releasing the energy from the day.

Good selection Ethan! I’m right there with you on Fluorite, Lapis, Garnet, Adularia Moonstone and Labradorite. Red Jasper isn’t compatible, Turquoise… well… and Aventurine and Amazonite are just OK. As far as Blue Lace Agate goes, it’s nice, but personally I prefer Black Banded, Botswana or Brown Banded.
I definitely think you should do a Part 3! If it was me, I’d include any of the following you didn’t cover already (and I’m looking at my bedside table for inspiration here):
• Celestite
• Calcite
• Charoite
• Golden Healer Quartz
• The Aura Quartzes
• Phantom Quartz
• The Opals and Tiffany Stone
• Shungite
• Apatite
• Sapphire
• The Beryls
• Howlite
• The Tourmalines (preferably all of them)
• Obsidian (with appropriate caveats)
• And of course Black Moonstone.
Love and Light.
your comments seem to always put a big smile on my face & a bigger chuckle in my heart, we are so much alike in our addiction to crystals, or is it love of them, pry both. 🙂 anywho you & ethan both do when it comes to our collections, i know ethans home looks like mine does with crystals being the main decorations but how about yours?
i love that you added celestite, calcite, golden healer, phantom quartz (any included quartz for me), apatite, sapphire (plus ruby), beryls, obsidians (rainbow being my favorite for the last 20+ yrs), aragonite & of coarse EVERY feldspar but black moonstone is one of my favs. not that i don’t love the others you added but everyone has those stones that work better with us than others. like my favorite two agates are carnelian & moss agate yet i go bananas with botswana also. one crystal that i would like to see added as well is unakite.
have a great day,
lve & light as well.
Unakite isn’t one of my better crystals, but it is good for many other people, so yes.
As far as crystals all over the house go, I would absolutely love this, but I have a neat-freak/OCD husband who perceives them as ‘messy’. *Sigh* I wouldn’t put them in our kitchen or bathroom though. I have a good selection on my bedside table (more ‘messy’ complaints, but hubby’s finally getting the idea that I see it differently and will have my bedside table the way *I* want it 🙂 ), and more in our spare room/office. Lots of Fluorite there, right next to the computer.
And you’re right; technically, any included Quartz is a Phantom. Unfortunately the term seems to be increasingly only applied to those Quartz Crystals with visible, shadowy internal crystals.
Oops, forgot one: Aragonite.
The tree of life appears in one of the nazca lines in Peru. Have loved Katrina Raphael for decades. Can’t wait to buy your books, too. Have found some amazing stones rock hounding. If you’re ever in Reno, Nevada, would love to take you to my favorite sites! Anna
Wow, I did not know that. I will have to look it up. Thank you for the comment
