How do you grid your home with crystals? In this guide, I show you the EASY way to grid any room, property, shop or your home with crystals.
Since writing a lot about crystal grids over the last 10 years and publishing two books on the topic, I get quite a few questions about them. One thing that repeatedly comes up is about gridding a room or their house. Here I want to address these questions in a simple and easy way.

Why Grid a Location?
When you grid any space, you are creating what I call a Location-Based Grid. This is very different from a regular crystal grid that is small and sits on a surface in one place in your home. When you grid a room, property or a building, you are creating a large crystal grid that influences the energy of the enclosed space and everyone who enters it.
It’s not traditional Feng Shui, but it is a similar concept. Your intention to do this could be anything, BUT in most cases these types of crystal grids are set up to:
1. Protect your space
2. Cleanse negative energy
3. Anchor peace and calm
As with any crystal grid, the crystals are never random. You should choose crystals that have the effect and benefits you are seeking in your space. Protective stones for a home protection grid, crystals that bring peace and harmony to your family dining room. I have different location-based grids in my Crystal Grids Power book series if you need ideas.

How To Grid Your Home or a Room
When gridding any space, you can make it as complicated or as simple as you like. However, the easiest way is to use four crystals. Four is all you need in most cases to grid a regular-shaped room or a building. It’s also good for outdoor spaces too.
You are setting the space you want to anchor the energy and intention you desire. These crystals are usually placed in the four corners of these spaces, it does not have to be a perfect square. More on irregular home layouts later...

This home protection crystal grid could be placed around a single room or a whole house. It has a 5th crystal near the front door but it’s an extra and not essential.
What Size Crystals Should You Use?
My opinion has always been the same on this topic. Although you could use regular tumble stones to grid a space, I think its better to use larger stones. You are affecting a big area and the larger sizes anchor energy well because of their mass and the size of their energy field.
This is just a general guide, there are times when this is just not possible. There are no set sizes, this is where you use your intuition and what feels and looks right for you and your unique space. You don’t need huge stones either.
Do the Crystals Need to be Visible or Hidden?
This does not matter. You can have them on display, or if you prefer, they could be placed inside boxes, pots, behind things or even under the floorboards. When gridding outdoor spaces, it’s normal to bury stones. They will still work as you are changing the energy of the land or a building.

Do Crystals Need to be on the Ground/First Floor?
This is all relevant to your home, of course. When you grid your bedroom, for example, you use the room you are in. If you live in an apartment/flat, then your apartment is the place the crystals go, you don’t need to grid the whole apartment block/building.
If you want to grid your whole property (house, home, apartment, shop) and it has more than one floor, try to grid the ground/first/lowest floor if you can. It’s usually easier, as this will often have a more regular shape or larger floor area.
If that is not the case or not easy to do, you can use the next available floor. Your intention and how you program your crystal grid is what matters the most anyway.

Make Sure You Activate Your Crystal Grid
Placing crystals around your home will have an effect on the energy, BUT that is not the same as a crystal grid. To link the crystals together energetically and give them the task to work for you, you do need to activate your grid.
