Learn why crystal grids use sacred geometry. What happens to the energy of crystals when you arrange them into patterns, geometric shapes and ancient symbols?
What Is Sacred Geometry?
To understand why crystal grids use sacred geometry I want to define what that means and why it’s important. Sacred geometry is a metaphysical science and spiritual belief that’s becoming more popular.
The idea is that the geometric shapes found in everything from atoms to all of nature are like the fingerprints of the divine. The natural order and structures are seen as divine in origin. Therefore this framework must have existed before the physical world was formed.

Ancient People Worked With Sacred Geometry
The ancients worked with sacred geometry in everything from stone circles to mandalas to the structure of temples. They must have felt this brought them closer to the gods or the divine. This also aligned these things with the energy of nature, the world and the universe.

Sacred Geometry Symbol Meanings
Sacred Geometry focuses mostly on geometric shapes and forms. Some of these are universal, like the circle, triangle and square. These are found everywhere and in every age. All our ancestors used these shapes and believed them to hold power and meaning.
Some more complex forms and symbols combine these shapes or use more complicated geometry. This includes popular symbols like the Flower of Life, the pentagram or Metatron’s cube for example. Plus 3D forms like the pyramid and sphere.
Non-Geometric Symbols?
Some symbols are not considered ‘geometric’, which I have included in book 2 of Crystal Grids Power. You can use those too. But as you will see in the new book, symbols like the Ankh and the heart contain hidden geometry that aligns with their meanings.
Some symbols have traditional meanings and they can vary a bit from culture to culture. But they all have a universal golden thread that connects them. Similar symbol meanings are found all around the world.
Most of the meanings of these symbols can also decoded through the lens of symbolism and numerology. It’s quite complex but in sacred geometry, numbers tell a story of the process of divine creation from source.
The Esoteric Power Of Numerology
A single energy (one) splits to become two, representing balance or polar opposites. These energies combine to give birth to a third (three) and so the first shape is formed, the triangle.

Don’t Throw This Valuable Knowledge Away…
This is all powerful stuff, that’s why I always include sacred geometry, traditional symbol meanings and numerology in all my crystal grids. It’s also why I teach intention-based crystal grids.
Some people in the new age community will tell you to use any crystal in any shape and that’s a crystal grid for whatever they decide. That’s up to them but why ignore this ancient knowledge?

“I believe if we are going to use ancient symbols we need to know what they mean and what effect they will have to use them safely, mindfully and effectively.”
Why Crystal Grids Use Sacred Geometry
These shapes and patterns are found throughout nature and inside crystals. It’s that repeating crystalline structure that makes some minerals into crystals.
Then we have metaphysical beliefs that the earth is covered in ley lines and vortex points. Some say these have geometric patterns and the sacred sites placed on them certainly do. It seems that shapes harness and channel energy in different ways.
Arranging crystals into geometric shapes and patterns is natural and part of our planet’s ancient wisdom traditions. It taps your crystals into the natural energy of the earth and the divine structure of the universe more intentionally and mindfully.
If we want to create change in ourselves or manifest in the outer world it all starts at a spiritual and energetic level. Working with sacred geometry in crystal grids allows us to do that.
“I wouldn’t build a house without a plan. Intention-based geometric symbols in crystal grids are like a divine blueprint and the foundation of your grid.“
Intention-Based Crystal Grids
If you want to create a crystal grid to cleanse negative energy you would start with the blueprint of a geometric shape or symbol that is used for cleansing or transmuting energy. Then cleansing crystals that support this are placed into this arrangement to anchor it.
You can use your intuition to decide which cleansing symbol to use and which of the many cleansing crystals you wish to use.

The crystals become a team and their energy is linked and moves within the shape or pattern (think of how a circuit board works). Elements arranged differently, behave differently. Even the number of the same stone gains even more symbolic power from numerology.
Crystal Grids Are A Mixed Modality
That’s why they are such unique, creative and powerful ways to work with your crystals. My Crystal Grids Power book series goes into all this in-depth and in a practical way so you can start making grids that are based on sacred geometry.
I explain what the symbols mean based on research sources and how to use them. No secrets here… I always tell you exactly WHY I chose those shapes and symbols in every grid I share.

Your new book has arrived, have started to read it. It’s extremely enlightening. Thank you! You surely need more coffee from me.
So glad my book has arrived and that you like this one too. Thanks so much for the support
You mention understanding ancient symbols to use them safely. What would be unsafe about using sacred geometry incorrectly for a crystal grid?
Many crystal grids are like portals, our clear understanding of what the symbol means and how we use it will better focus the energy on a specific intention. You are invoking energy into your life and I would never dream of doing that without understanding what a symbol means and if it actually supports my intention. For example potentially someone could use a protective symbol in a grid for attracting love and then wonder why people sense a wall is up and essentially block themselves from what they want.
As a Greek Orthodox Christian I was always wondering if crystal grids are compatible with NY faith and what’s the geometric meaning of the ✝️!
Would be nice if you could point me out to some answers!
Many thanks,
Gunther
It really depends on the person, I have people of all religions who follow my work (adapting to their beliefs) but they might not be super traditional. The cross is covered in more detail in my grids books. It was likely used not only as a symbol of Yeshua but because it shows influence over all four directions and the whole world under the sun. It also can mean spirit and matter combined which also makes sense.
The cross symbol also has meaning in pre-Christian religions. It takes many forms, some elaborate and some not; but in most cases, it’s a symbol of the Sun. The only exception I can think of right now is astrology/alchemy (not sure which any more), wherein an equal-armed cross within a circle is the symbol for the Earth.
Interesting fact: even the dreaded swast!ka was originally a cross, used in many Far Eastern practices and belief systems, which symbolised the Sun, wellbeing, prosperity etc; but a certain madman from a country near to Germany stole it and reversed its aspect, thereby turning it into probably the most negative (and, needless to say, hated) political symbol there’s ever been (though it was only a nose ahead of the hammer and sickle).
Sacred geometry truly adds depth to crystal grids by harnessing the natural patterns found in the universe. Using these ancient shapes—like the Flower of Life or Metatron’s Cube—within crystal grids enhances their energy and purpose. It’s powerful to think that these geometric structures, found in nature and echoed in ancient architecture, can align our intentions with universal energies. This practice connects us to a divine blueprint, allowing us to manifest our intentions with greater focus. Sacred geometry, therefore, brings a unique blend of science, spirituality, and art to crystal grids, grounding them in ancient wisdom and cosmic harmony.
