Simple Crystal Grid Activation Method

If you already know how to activate a Crystal Grid, feel free to use your prefered method. Otherwise, to keep things nice and easy, I am going to show you a really simple method to activate the grid. Activation programs or charges the crystals with your intention, so they can begin to do their work for you.
Black Tourmaline Crystals and a Red Tigers Eye

All you need are 4 Black Tourmaline Crystals and a Red Tigers Eye

How To Activate a Home Protection Crystal Grid:

1. Hold all your cleansed crystals in your hands.
2. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
3. Raise your crystals up in front of your Third Eye Chakra (brow area).
4. Focus on your desired result, use visualisation and emotion. Say to yourself or out loud a statement of your intention like “I program this Crystal Grid to protect my …………….. and all who live here from all forms of harm.”
5. Lastly arrange your crystals into position (see below).

Setting Up Your Home Protection Crystal Grid

Now that your crystals are programmed and charged with your intention, all you have to do is arrange them. Please see the diagram above. If you have more than one floor, use the ground or lowest floor for the grid.

Irregular Shaped Spaces

With irregularly shaped houses or rooms, you may need to get more crystals to grid the extra corners. Place these in the outer corners of your property. Drawing a floor plan will make deciding where to put your crystals a lot easier.

More Options

If your ground floor is not the biggest floor then you can either grid the widest floor or you may want to grid all floors. You can also bury the Black Tourmaline crystals outside if you have a garden. I recommend putting them in glass jars to protect them from water damage and so they can be retrieved later if needed.

(1) In position 1 place a Black Tourmaline crystal at each of the four (or more) corners of your home or a room, standing up or pointing outwards.
(2) In position 2 place the Red Tiger’s Eye crystal near your main entrance or door. Ideally, it should be just inside and visible.
If you have any questions about this grid just post them in the comments below (Please keep any questions you have on topic if you want a response).

Do you mean placing a tourmaline in each corner of the room with your from door or making a small grid next to your front door?
    Thanks

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

Hi Tina, each Black Tourmaline crystal is placed in one of the four corners of the home to protect the boundaries of the house or home. If you just want to protect a single room then you would use the four corners of the room.

I’m quite lucky that my home is already protected and I can call my stones from where ever I am. Even people who come to visit can not see my altar.

      1. Elizabeth George-Hall

Technically yes but I can feel when they want me. I never ask anything from them which gives me a better connection. They give off smells when they want my attention when I’m at home. When I’m at work and they are calling, they give off a high frequency that gives my husband (who works at home) a heavy pressure in his head which he is not happy about.
Ages ago I ask you about a name they call me by and whether it was common or heard of.

  3. Simone

Hello, do the black tourmaline have to go on the floor, or can they go on units? The corner of our kitchen has a washer in a built in cupboard, which if I put behind it then machine won’t fit back. Could I place it above it in the corner? Then the other corner is a bathroom which I worry children might move, could I put in a plant pot in the corner? Wondering if they all have to be on the floor at same level or can go on units or in cupboards at various levels, and if it’s ok to put one in soil but not the other 3.
Sorry that’s so long. Very new to this! Thank you

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

Hi Simone, you can place them anywhere in that area, on or under things, hidden inside a box or a jar. They do not need to be on the floor or at the exact same height. Make it work for you and your home.

    hello ethan,
i have used black tourmaline in the 4 corners of our home for years and it works great! mine is a bit different thought with a large hunk of rose quartz and a large black tourmaline crystal at the door. i like your red tigers eye at the door so i will have to add that to the other crystals and see how it feels. thanks for sharing your wisdom with us.

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

You could work with the downstairs but place one Black Tourmaline in the missing corner, outside in the garden to make the square. Or alternitively put the Tourmaline on the upstairs level if it encompasses the entire home. If that still does not seem to work then grid the tourmalines on each level. The L shape can be made with 6 crystals if you place at all the corners. The other stone should still be by the front door.

      1. Elle

My house has a wing that juts out on one side. Would I do the same thing front and back at the “missing” corners? The entire property is almost an acre and it is an odd shape, it sounds like just forming a square around the house is the way to go? i also have just gotten your book, will look it up there.

        1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

There is no right answer. The easiest way to grid is to form a square that covers everything like you said. Some people will go with the outer corners of irregular shaped houses adding more stones than four. Both will work.

  5. Richard Lee

I smudged my apartment and then placed black tourmaline in as following:
I have a 2 bedroom apartment and I have a black tourmaline in the corner of each room.
I do customer support from my home and have a large black tourmaline on my desk especially good with angry customers I have found. I also carry a black tourmaline in my pocket each time I leave the house.

  6. Marilyn

Hello, I was given two black tourmaline stones and two amethyst stones to bury around our new property in the ground. But I can’t get a hold of her to find out how she intended to place them as a grid. Do you any suggestions?

      1. Marilyn

Thank you. Her intention, I believe, was for protection. But I wasn’t sure if having the amethyst could be part of the four corners for protection. This is all very new to me, and I’m very intrigued by crystal grids. I think I would be interested in your book.

I live in an apartment. It’s a one bedroom. I think my space is 30 feet by 30. The only room I have a problem with is the bathroom. The wall on that side is where the tub is. I have a tourmaline in the corner of my kitchen the the living room corner by the balcony then one in my bedroom in the far corner then in the bathroom between the bathtub and toilet on the floor. I placed the red tiger eye by the door opening.

Should I place the gem in the bathroom in a jar?

  9. Amelia

    Hi Ethan,

I am going to make this protection grid for my house. Three of the corners are OK. One corner is my kitchen countertop wall. I have my microwave in this particular corner. No way to change it to any other place since my kitchen is very tiny and don’t a lot of counter space. We had talked before about EMFs and electrical current affecting grids. Is this going to be a problem if I place the Tourmaline in this corner next to the microwave? The bottom part of the countertop is the dishwasher that I NEVER!!!! use. I use it as an extra place to keep things. Can I place it inside the dishwasher? I am going to order your book from Amazon today.

    Thank you,

    Amelia

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

You know Amelia some people used Black Tourmaline to shield against EMFs. I think you have to work with what you have got and just see how things work for you. When doing these large Location based grids, there will always be electricals around and within them. It is more of an issue with the smaller grids.

  10. Sara

    Hi Ethan,

just wondering if the red tiger eye must be in a specific shape or if a pendant would work as well as a oval like the one you showed in your photo.

Also, in order to place the tourmaline, would I have to include also the garden or just the inside of the house?
Do I consider only the 4 main outermost corners or (having the house an irregular shape) do I use more than 4 corners?

Sorry for the many questions, I hope you have a great day! 🙂

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

Hi Sara, no it can be any shape really. Some shapes are good for protection but this isn’t an easy stone to find. Use what you have available to you. The other questions you asked have been answered a few times above if you look through the comments on this blog post.

  11. Amelia

    Hi Ethan
I was ready to make my protection grid with the tourmaline and the red tiger eye. Then I see that you said tourmaline points. I got tourmaline rough stones. Do they have to be points ? Some of the stones I got can pass as points.

    Thank you,
    Amy

  12. Amelia

    Hi Ethan,

I am finally going to do my Protection grid today. I have a question about individual rooms. Since my place is pretty small, if I want to do a protection grid for a particular room; one of the corners of that room already has Black tourmaline from the house protection grid. Do I do two individual tourmalines in that corner, (one for the house grid and one for the room grid) or the same tourmaline in that particular corner can be use for both grids?

    Thank you in advance,

    Amy

  13. JP

    HI Ethan,

Can I use black tourmaline at the four corners outside the house, bury in the soil without the jars, so I don’t have to clean it once a month? Or, can I put black tourmaline and with something else like selenite or quartz, so can the quartz or selenite clean the black tourmaline by itself without me cleaning it every month, is that possible?

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

Black Tourmaline buried in the wet earth will deteriorate, which is why I recommend jars. If these jars are buried outside the earth should cleanse them. I don’t believe any crystals are self-cleansing, so I would not rely on Selenite. To be honest cleansing your home once a month is a really good idea and has so many benefits for your environment.

  14. Gail

When you say the black tourmaline should be standing up or pointing outwards, how do you mean? My tourmaline has flat sides and kind of pointed ends; so they will not stand….. Should I lay them on their side caddie corner to the corner or should I point an end to the corner? Thank you so much!

    Hi Ethan,
I have been looking for red tigers eye Haven’t had any luck yet. I got a brown tigers eye sphere..but no red one. Please if possible suggest a secondary stone. It might not be as powerful but gets the work done.. awaiting your input.

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

You have to work with the space you have, things won’t be the same level in most peoples homes. Go as close the corner as possible but dont worry if you cant. For the bathroom, you could also place the crystal in a glass jar to stop it getting wet or damp.

  17. Melody

I have more than one door in the ground floor of my house. Would it work to put two separate tigers eye, one at the front door and one at the back?

  18. Dorinda

    Hi Ethan,
I really just want to thank you for putting this out in such an easy to use form on the internet. I didn’t have an interest in working with my crystals this way. I just love them. Recently I had a painful physical need to begin placing protection. Miraculously I received relief within moments. I never poo pooed grids verbally to others but I just didn’t want to go there. I’m very greatful! Without making this note too long I must just say this is a Godsend. May you receive a thousand fold in your kindness of helping others in this way. Now I’m on the road to understand why and how this works…… it’s wonderful to learn new things!

    Good afternoon Ethan,
Can I use this same grid at the corners of my property instead of the house (its a couple of acres) or is a different grid required or different crystals?
    Cheers.

  21. Sher

Does it matter what size tourmaline you use? Can you put small chips above doors and on window sills or should they be bigger pieces? I saged my house before ,but didnt have black tourmaline to put into the 4 corners ,should I sage again before setting up my grid?,

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

Hi, for gridding the house I recommend medium to larger pieces of Black Tourmaline wherever possible. You can use little stones and chips around the house but its not great for grids which use numerology. Cleansing before you set up a grid is a good idea but not essential, you can cleanse afterwards if you’re in a hurry.

  22. Monica

    Hi Ethan,

Thank you so much for this post. Before finding this post on a protection crystal grid, I ordered a larger black tourmaline crystal piece that is on a wood stand. I’m trying to figure out if there is still a way to incorporate this piece in the grid? Thanks again for your insight!

    Ethan,
We are preparing to build a new home. Would it be appropriate to place the black tourmaline within the corners of the foundation as the house is being constructed? I really would like to include something permanent in the foundation. Thanks!

  24. Sonia M

    Hello
Could I put the crystal on the 4 corners of a bedroom but hanging instead of the floor so they are not moved? Would it be ok if I paste them against the wall / ceiling? I mean I’m not sure it would take away from their energy to have a tape .

  25. Nen

We construct a small house but the septic tank is inside of our house due to lack of space. Can I put one black tourmaline above the septic tank before it covered by cement ?

  26. Tia

    Hi Ethan
Many thanks for your post, which I am excited to try out.
My house is a semi-detached and my neighbours are particularly spiteful and negative towards us, so would like to use this grid to repel their energy.
The adjoining wall travels through my lounge, stairway, dining room and soon to be conservatory.
Do all the tourmaline crystals being used have to be the same shape and size, or could I use larger ones along the adjoining wall? With maybe a free standing point in the lounge corner against the adjoining wall, another hanging pendulum in the stairway against the adjoining wall and so on?
Your advise would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks

  27. Jean

Hi Ethan, I read before that selenite can be added on straight walls in between the tourmaline that’s in the corners. What are your thoughts on this? I have the selenite and would love to use it for this. Thanks so much.

Hi Ethan, our house is about to be constructed, can i bury the crystals (inside the glass) on the 4 corners of the house foundation and the front door?
    Thanks

    Hello there,

One corner of my house is a free space becuase I have kids playing around, I was planning to hang my tourmaline on the corner wall instead, put it in a red see through pouch. Will that be okay?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Ethan,
I am building a house and they are pouring a foundation soon. I want to know if I should put the tourmaline in the 4 corners before they pour the foundation or should I burry them in the ground once the foundation is poured?

Do we have to pay attention of our astrological sign or else? I read that certain astrological sign such as Taurus cannot wear or touch Tiger’s Eye due to the conflicting planet, because Taurus is a zodiac sign with a ruling planet that is the enemy of Sun and Mars. Should I change Tiger’s Eye to something else for the home grid? What is exactly the role of putting a gemstone near the entrance? Thank you in advance for your precious insight.

  32. Chrissy Ash

    Hi Ethan,

I am looking at setting up the above for my house, I don’t have a square house, it is a backwards L, also one of my corners is in my shower. I have an aerial picture of my house, I was thinking of using that & using 6 instead of 4 Black Tourmaline (the extra 2 is so I can include my garage.
Can you give me any advice on this please.

    Cheers

Hi, I’ve recently built a new home, they’re about to pour the foot path and I’d like to grid it, I was wondering if I could put black tourmaline in the 4 corners outside in the concrete? Will they be damaged by rain? And how will I cleanse them?
    Thank you

  34. Jessica

Hi Ethan! When I make my grid for protection in the home (as opposed to being outside) can I glue or somehow affix the crystals to the grid and then frame it? Like a painting? I have quite a few cats so loose crystals of any size anywhere in my house get played with and lost. I know you said tape won’t effect them, but I don’t know that tape would be strong enough, especially if I’m hanging my grid art on the wall. Any suggestions? Also, can I do this grid art idea for all over the house? For example can I have one in every room? Or just by the door? Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

    1. Ethan Lazzerini Post author

That sounds like a wall mounted grid. Yes you can do that with the purpose of protecting your whole home but I have never made one myself. Most I see use glue (glue gun) and no it won’t affect the grid in my opinion.
